SHOP THE SOURCE. / MATERIAL NOTES

Good design.
Starts with the material.

Know Your Materials. A closer look at the woods, fabrics and finishes behind Mulroom furniture.

01 / WOOD

Three woods. Plenty of character.

We use ash, oak and teak, depending on the product or your custom request. Our wood is kiln-dried and FSC-certified. Check the product details or speak with us to confirm the species for your chosen piece.

A /

Ash ไม้แอช

A light-toned wood with expressive grain. A good starting point for an airy, relaxed look. Stain and finish will change its final appearance.

O /

Oak ไม้โอ๊ก

Distinctive grain and a textured visual character. It brings warmth to both modern and classic spaces. Colour varies with species, stain and finish.

T /

Teak ไม้สัก

Known for its warm colour and natural oils. Its appearance develops over time. Outdoor suitability depends on the whole product’s construction and finish—ask us before placing it outdoors.

Why kiln-dried?

Kiln drying reduces and controls moisture before production, helping prepare wood for furniture making. Wood remains a natural material: it can still move with temperature and humidity. Grain, knots and colour variation make each piece individual.

02 / FABRIC

Feel comes first. Details matter too.

OEKO-TEX certified fabrics

Our upholstery fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified. Ask our team for the certificate details for the fabric you choose. This relates to the fabric; it does not mean the entire finished piece of furniture is certified.

Fire-retardant options

Fire-retardant fabrics are available on request. Tell us your project requirements before ordering so we can confirm the fabric and relevant test documentation. Fire-retardant does not mean fireproof, and not every fabric option is fire-retardant.

Choose by texture, colour and how you live. View a swatch before confirming: screens and lighting can change how a fabric looks.

03 / FINISH & CARE

The finishing touch. Made for everyday care.

All our finishes are low VOC (volatile organic compounds). Low VOC does not mean zero VOC or chemical-free. Follow the care instructions for your selected finish.

Keep wood comfortable

Wipe with a soft cloth. Dry spills promptly. Use coasters and avoid direct heat, prolonged sun and standing water. Ask before using polish or strong cleaners.

Treat fabric gently

Vacuum gently. Blot spills rather than rubbing. Cleaning methods depend on your fabric: check its instructions before applying any product. Removable covers are not automatically machine-washable.

Confirm before we make it

For a custom order, confirm the wood, stain, fabric and any fire-retardant requirement with our team. Availability and pricing depend on your chosen specification.
